After the visit of the person in charge of Waste from the Municipality of Punta Arenas, Rodrigo Santana, ASMAR’s Magallanes Shipyard will be the subject of a technical feasibility study for the installation of a biodigester whose energy source would come from organic waste from the kitchen of the Plant. Through these emissions, Santana explained, methane gas will be generated that will be injected again into the kitchen network of the Shipyard casino.
This project is part of the Comuna Energética program of the Ministry of Energy, which envisions ASMAR as a pioneer in the reuse of this waste for an unprecedented initiative in the Magallanes Region.
